There is a particular loneliness to being in a threshold while everyone around you is getting on with an ordinary week. A gathering is a few hours with other people who are also somewhere in between — not to fix each other, and not to swap advice, but so that the thing stops being private.
Groups are small on purpose, usually eight to twelve people. There is some structure: a question to sit with, time outdoors where the setting allows it, long stretches of quiet, and food. There is no round of introductions where you have to summarise your life, and there is no point at which you are required to speak.
Who comes
People who have walked or talked with Jesse before, and people who have never met him. People who arrive knowing exactly what their threshold is, and people who only know that something has shifted. Nobody is screened, and nobody is sorted into a category on arrival.
Where and how long
Evenings run about three hours. Day gatherings run from mid-morning to late afternoon, usually somewhere with a path and a view. Specific dates and places are listed on the events page as they are set.
After you reach out
Jesse will tell you what is coming up and what that particular gathering is likely to be like. If nothing is scheduled, he'll let you know when something is — there is no waiting list to be managed, just a note when the time comes.
